2020/2021 SEASON

Holiday Website.jpg

Join the Parks County Community College and the Parks County Public Access Channel as they present the Holiday Festivus Variety Show Spectacular - an evening of Holiday Stories, Factoids, Scenes, Songs and Sketches. The evening is hosted by an (almost) Broadway Veteran, alongside a sweet and snarky Singer/Song Writing Team, the Parks County Community College Theatre Director, and the cast and crew of the PCCC Theatre Department. This ragtag team desperately needs to raise $1,000,000 to keep the Performing Arts curriculum going at the PCCC. They aim to do this by supplying their live studio audience and local viewers with lots of Holiday Cheer and forcing the host to plead for donations, in order to save his LIFE!

- Show features Ned Averil-Snell, Kidany Camilo, Chelsea Hooker, Summer Kiesel, and members of ThinkTank’s Young Artists’ Ensemble Company
- Directed by ThinkTank’s Producing Artistic Director, Georgia Mallory Guy and Plant High School Theatre Director, Dan Franke
-Written and Compiled by Blake Conley, Dan Franke and Georgia Mallory Guy

Snoopy!!! The Musical

Snoopy!!! The Musical is the sequel to You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and focuses on the life of the world’s most famous beagle. Based on the beloved Peanuts comic strip by Charles Schulz, Snoopy!!! sparkles with wit and warmth as it depicts life as seen through the eyes of these unforgettable characters. The show contains over 15 toe-tapping, challenging tunes performed by Charlie Brown, Lucy, Sally, Linus, Peppermint Patty, Woodstock and that famous and loveable beagle, Snoopy. Don’t be deceived by their two-dimensional comic strip depictions. These are three-dimensional characters, tackling deep topics in ways that only cartoons can.

ThinkTank’s TYA Playwrights Festival is a developmental program dedicated to providing a working forum for progressive and forward-thinking TYA productions for today’s theatres. The goal is a collaborative workshop process, with local Tampa Bay Theatre professionals and members of our Young Artists’ Ensemble, allowing time for playwrights to hear and adapt their work. This year’s programming will finish out with our Festival Showcase, July 10th, at Stageworks Theatre, open to any and all who would like to join us! Admission is free and donations are gladly accepted! We’ll also encourage everyone to stick for some post-show discussions with our playwrights!

Can(t) Relate

Part of the Tampa Internationl Fringe Festival

Running July 20th - August 8th

When a high school theatre class is completely quarantined and forced to distance learn, wtfox can a theatre director do to make the class function at any possible level of normality? Assign a group playwriting assignment, of course! Opinions will flair, anxiety will surmount, “potty mouths” will have their say, and teenage angst will be at an all-time high! Based on a completely made-up story, (like completely in no way, shape or form true) (wink, wink), follow a group of three, specifically grouped together classmates, who have to work together and write a 45-min play, or risk the dreaded ZERO! Pass or Fail, All In or Nothing, Work Together or Damn it all! Will they be able to find community and understanding or will their differences (and wifi) keep them truly distant?
