At ThinkTank Theatre, we hold steadfast to the vision of producing thought-provoking, awe-inspiring, professional theatre for young people and family audiences. We strive vigorously to produce high-quality theatrical events and productions, programs for our communities through inclusion and accessibility, and to inspire audiences of all ages to find within themselves their sense of adventure, creativity and curiosity.
ThinkTank believes the work being done for young audiences today should reflect the lives of young people, speaking to them directly, and we dedicate ourselves to honoring a more progressive, forward-thinking approach, setting an example of TYA productions for the American theatre.
Our Team
Producing Artistic Director - Georgia Mallory Guy is the Producing Artistic Director of ThinkTank Theatre, TYA. She is professional actor/director, whose regional credits include: Milwaukee Rep.,Orlando Shakes, Pittsburgh Irish and Classical, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Florida Rep., American Stage, freeFall Theatre, Jobsite Theater, Stageworks Theatre, TampaRep., Banyan Theatre, A SimpleTheatre, ThinkTank Theatre, The Show Palace, Monomoy Theatre and Festival 56 among others. In addition to her professional work, Georgia has a great deal of teaching experience. She is the former Artistic Director for the award-winning children’s theatre company at SouthTampa Center for the Arts.Georgia still heads up the private voice studio and continues to direct and consult with the STCFTA program. Georgia is currently an adjunct professor for Centenary University and has been fortunate to also serve as an adjunct at the University of South Florida, OhioUniversity, and a Guest Artist at Troy University’s Summer Spotlight Series. Georgia is also proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, the professional union for Actors and Stage Managers.
Georgia is originally from Prattville, AL and attended Troy University, then Troy State University, with scholarships for oboe and musical theatre. Here she earned degrees in Music Education, Communications/Theatre, and a minor in Vocal Performance. In 2007, Georgia entered the Ohio University Professional Actor Training Program. She graduated with her MFA in 2010. She currently goes back and forth betweenFlorida and New Jersey and has a very loving, handsome and supportive husband, Traveis, some amazing puppies– Cooper and Bailee, and her old kitty cat- Sophie.
Young Artists’ Ensemble Coordinator – Ryan Sturm is honored to serve as TTYA’s YAE coordinator. Ryan has dedicated his career – spanning over 15 years – to education and, particularly, special education. Ryan is incredibly passionate about creating inclusive opportunities for all individuals to enjoy a meaningful life as a contributing member of their respective communities. He also has a rich theatrical background that unofficially began all the way back in 3rd grade when he told his mom that he was performing in the school’s talent show the very next day, and he needed a costume, a cassette track, and a dance routine. Mama didn’t let him down. This role allows Ryan a special opportunity to combine his two greatest passions – education and theatre – and he is proud to be a member of such a wonderful company.
Originally from Indiana, Ryan holds a B.A. in Special Education, with a minor in Theatre from Purdue University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. Ryan has been seen in multiple TTYA productions and he’s played in the sandbox with the wonderful people at Stageworks Theatre, Jobsite Theatre, the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, and several of the wonderful community theatres in the Tampa Bay area. Social Media Manger - Calee Gardner is the social media Manager for ThinkTank Theatre. Calee has been working as a social media professional for over four years in both the performing arts and fashion industry. Trained in graphic design, video/photo editing, and advertising Calee loves helping brands or individuals find their voice and audience. Notable positions include, The Avenue Shops, BYU Fine Arts Departments, and The House Lars Built. Most recently her marketing work was seen promoting shows at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and in the award winning original play "Prothero" at the SLC Theater Festival. Calee holds a BFA in Music Dance Theater and a minor in Communications from Brigham Young University. This synthesis of academic disciplines has aided in her wearing many hats of the performing world. In addition to her work behind the scenes as part of the ThinkTank marketing team, Calee works as a voice teacher, dramaturg, and actor for both stage and screen. Since moving from Utah to Florida in 2021 she has enjoyed working with this new community of theater makers.
